Purpose of SevaYatra is :

- To expose participants about the NGO’s prime purpose and the larger social issue, through an initial interactive education session

- To immerse with locals / social workers / impoverished in teams to perform certain pre-planned projects which will assist NGOs through direct results

- To engage children (6 and older) to work on projects with other local kids and then collectively reflect on the project/issue through a scrap book activity; photo story project or interactive game play

Sample Agenda :

- Registration and Meet and Greet (typical group size 35-50 people)

- Brief presentation and discussion with expert on social issue

- Brief presentation on specific NGO

- Parallel children segment – photo story or scrap booking exercise with locals. Hands-on and age appropriate activities for kids

- Actual Service project/experience a life in the day of… – opp to serve and do something specific while interacting with NGO partner or directly with people affected by social issue.

- Brainstorming exercise

- Celebration of Service
